About Us

ACM Plastic was founded in 1978 by Maurice (Bill) Walters. Bill spent the next 40+ years building ACM from one Impco B-13 to 16 presses with capability up to a 40 pound shotsize. In the earliest days Bill was a one man show. Running machines at night and making sales calls during the day. ACM has always truly been a family organization. Bill first brought on his brother, Chuck, in 1985. Followed by his nephews for summer work in the early 90’s and finally by his stepsons in the early 00’s. In 2001 ACM added its first 40# press. In 2009 a QMS was implemented and ACM Plastic attained ISO 9001:2015 certification. Bill retired and passed the torch onto his stepson , Josh Crooks, in 2024. This decision wasn’t made lightly, Josh had been working at ACM learning the roles from lawn care to product development and management in order to prepare. These days ACM Plastic is looking forward to 50 year of business in 2028 and beyond to the new growth that the next 50 will bring.
